Details Of Disappearances
26 Year Old Anne Denise Victoria Manchester was last seen at her residence on the third floor of the Villa Belmont Apartments on Welsh Tract Road in Newark on June 29th 1980 at approximately 12:30 pm by a male friend who visited her. Later that same day a female friend had called her on the phone. The friend stated that nothing seemed out of the ordinary with Anne. Anne was a student at the University of Delaware and was 3 days shy of receiving her Master's Degree in Business Administration. Despite the last known contact of Anne being on the 29th. Anne was not reported missing until July 8th when her parents were unable to get in touch with her. They had been on vacation. When her apartment was searched. Everything appeared to be in order. Anne's car was parked outside. The front door to the apartment was unlocked. Anne's Purse Cigarettes, & Keys were all inside the apartment. There was a stack of textbooks sitting at a table and a pair of Anne's sandals underneath the table as if she was studying when whatever happened to Anne occurred. Reportedly, Anne did not like to walk anywhere. She preferred to drive. And she was not seeing anyone at the time she disappeared. Anne also lived alone. According to friends and family. Anne had no known enemies and they could think of no one who would want to wish her harm.
