Details of Disappearance
Song Im Joseph is a Native of South Korea and she immigrated to the United States in November of 1974 with her husband Alton Edward Joseph who served in the U.S. Army. At the time of her disappearance, Song was working as a Housekeeper at a local motel. Song and Alton were also having marital problems up until Song disappeared. At some point Song told her friends she believed she was being followed by a "Korean Speaking Man". No further details are available on this potential lead. Song was last seen at her residence on Bay Road in Rehobeth, DE. According to her husband, They had an argument that morning. And he had left. Upon his return, Song was no longer at the residence. Nor was she anywhere else. Alton reported her missing 2 days later. And 2 days after reporting her missing. Alton re-enlisted in the U.S. Army and returned to South Korea.

•Previously station at Fort Bragg in NC where he stole explosives. Was ordered by superiors to "Get rid of" (C4) the explosives by superiors. And he just took the explosives home. Wasn't arrested for it until April 2001.
(Note: Him taking the C4 home wasn't an unusual occurrence for the 70s)
*November 18th 1989: Fined $25 for disregarding a Red Light in Milford
*October 20th 1992: Joseph's Former Parents home was searched in Lewes (Sussex 265A-Ranch Style House) for Song's body. Nothing was found except animal bones.
Explosives Charges- April 2001
*April 2001: Joseph E. Alton gave 14 blocks of C4 to his friend, 28 Year Old Jerry King of Rehoboth Beach. Then Joseph turned around and told the ATF that King had them. And was trying to sell them. After telling the ATF, Joseph turned around and told Jerry that the ATF were preparing to search his residence for the C4. Jerry then gave the C4 to his girlfriend to keep for him. The ATF then raided the girlfriend's trailer at the Sea Air Village Mobile Home Park North of Rehoboth Beach. King was subsequently arrested. When questioned, King stated he was given the C4 by Alton. And he was supposed to sell them and split the profit. Upon receiving this information, Alton was arrested as well.
*Prior to giving his friend the C4, Alton had an arrest warrant in Massachusetts for Larceny. He used the opportunity he invented with the C4, to try and get himself a better deal.
*November 2002: Plead Guilty in November 2002 moving Explosives (21 lbs) across State Lines. (Delaware to Massachusetts) Sentenced to 30 Months in Prison with 3 Years of Supervised Probation after his release.
