Details Of Disappearance
On Thursday 10/9/2008, 50 Year Old Bruce Weaver and five friends were fishing aboard a vessel out of the Indian River Inlet in Rehoboth Beach. The vessel became swamped by a wave near the Delaware Bay Buoy and it rapidly took on water. The vessel sunk beneath the surface causing Mr. Weaver and his companions to be cast into the water. Approximately eight hours later, the companions were rescued by a passing good samaritan vessel and the Coast Guard. However, Bruce remained missing and despite a search he was declared lost at sea.
