“She loved doing hair… she was always changing hers up,” Janteyl’s mother Kyma Johnson told Dateline. “She always did mine. And her sister’s. It was great having a personal hairstylist. She knew that’s what she wanted to do. It was her goal. But that didn’t happen. Well, we don’t think it did anyway. We just don’t know.”

Details Of Disappearance
On the morning of February 3, 2010, In accordance with the family's daily routine. Janteyl’s brother drove their mom Kyma to the train station so she could get to her job in Philadelphia. After that he took Janteyl to school. Upon arriving at school Janteyl who was 5 months pregnant, started to feel sick. She called her mom at around noon and told her she would be going home early. Janteyl planned to return to school later that day for after school activities. The plan was for her brother to pick her up at school, And they would proceed to meet their mom Kyma in Philadelphia for Church. Janteyl asked her mom to call her to wake her up so she would be ready. When Kyma called Janteyl there was no answer. When her brother arrived at their residence at the Autumn Park Aparments in Newark. There were signs Janteyl did make it home. Aside from her belongings being there. There were signs she had taken a nap and made herself something to eat. But Janteyl was nowhere to be found. At around 10 p.m. that night, Kyma filed a report with the New Castle County Police Department. Janteyl's phone records indicated that Janteyl received a call that day from someone that lasted a few minutes. The number was traced back to a burner phone and the caller was never positively identified. Kyma told Dateline that the idea of her daughter being a runaway was a possibility, but she believes Janteyl had the intention of returning, but something prevented her from doing so. The father of her child was 26 at the time. And likely has the answers. His name hasn't been released.
